Included here is a random selection of agates that I have collected from various locations in California, mostly in the Mojave desert.  California has many terrific locations statewide for collecting good agate and many other types of rocks and minerals too. The pieces that come from known locations are named, all others are from private locations.  Specimens that are unpolished are lightly oiled to better show their colors.
